Sarver Winery Makes The Perfect Setting For A NW Wedding Proposal!

These two are clearly in love and we are in love with this proposal!  We first met Max when he came into Malka Diamonds & Jewelry of Downtown Portland.  He was referred to us by a mutual friend.  He was in search of custom creating an engagement ring for Jordan, his soon-to-be fiancé.  It had to be custom because it was very important to Max that we use the 24 karat gold flake ore he had with him.  Max explained that his soon-to-be fiancé's father had handed the gold container to him when he asked for his daughter's hand in marriage.  It just so happens that Jordan's family mines gold in Alaska.

We assured Max that the three-stone diamond engagement ring would be casted in Jordan's family gold.  We then spent a while discussing the design and stone selection process.  Max wanted something classic and timeless.  First, he spent time with David Malka learning about diamonds.  He then helped hand select the stones for Jordan.   Next, we used the chosen diamonds to craft a custom three-stone diamond engagement ring.  Max came in several times to look at diamonds, confirm the wax and see the ring in different stages.  When Max came in to see the final piece, he was thrilled.  He had a huge smile on his face.  We asked Max to keep us in the loop on the proposal.  We had no idea he had something so extravagant planned.3-stone custom ring

Jordan & Max first met at the University of Oregon.  Both were college athletes.  Max played football and Jordan played softball.   The two stayed together through college and graduated.  Their relationship continued to grow and Max knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Jordan.  To surprise Jordan, Max had one of Jordan's girlfriends invite her for a wine-tasting date.  Jordan was supposed to meet her friend at Sarver Winery.  Jordan arrived first and was waiting for her friend.  The winery owner invited Jordan to walk out to the vineyard where they would start the tour.  As she walked out there she noticed a guy who looked similar to Max.  She walked closer and closer and realized it was Max.  Max got down on one knee and proposed and Jordan said Yes!  The winery owner was captured the special moment with some amazing pictures.

Thank you Max for trusting Malka with this very special engagement.  Thanks to the newly engaged couple for sharing their story with us.  We are honored.  Congratulations to the both of you on your recent engagement we can't wait to see the pictures from the wedding day.
